Jennie Bergerson grew up in Michigan. Jennie is a classically trained musician, as were her mother, grandmother, great aunts/uncles and her great grandfather. Jennie was a vocal major in college (mezzo soprano) but also studied violin and classical guitar during her college years. She recently has become very interested in Hawaiian music and has studied ukulele and slack key guitar with grammy award winning artists Herb Ohta Jr., Keola Beamer, Jeff Peterson and John Keawe.
